Sustainable Waste Management Amidst Covid-19

​Humans are the only part of ecosystems that generate waste but its sustainable management is the one that may cut greenhouse gas emissions. The Salesians of Don Bosco ZMB province is dedicated to ensuring that waste management and care for the environment is essential through Recycle, Reuse, Refuse and Reduce policy. In ensuring this, the Salesians of Don Bosco Provincial House is Lusaka, Zambia, organised a Campaign to ensure that the environment is well protected and managed to contribute to its sustainability. The Refuse Policy ensures that waste is well collected, sorted and or disposed off well. In Collaboration with the Zambia Environmental Management Agency, the Salesians of Don Bosco had organised a workshop which was followed up with practical exercise to ensure environmental Sustainability and care as a contribution to the “Laudato Si”, a document that was presented to us by Pope Francis.
